Events

Location
Our lessons and dances are held at the Sunalta Community Centre (1627 10th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta), across the street from the Sunalta LRT station.  This hall has a central location and a hardwood floor.

Square Dance Lessons
Our lessons are held on Tuesday evenings (7:30 – 9:30 pm), from October to April with a full two-hours of teaching time.  The first two lessons of the season are free for new beginners.  By the end of the lesson series, new dancers will have learned all moves in the “Mainstream” level of square dancing.  Couples and single dancers are welcome. We will start a new series of lessons on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Mainstream Dances
Our dances are held on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, from September to April.  Pre-rounds start at 7:30 pm, followed by a mainstream dance from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. One dance each month has a special theme.
Our first dance will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023
